Gran and Grandad took the boys up to play at J&S while Joe and I "put the star on the Santa tree." We did get the star on the tree, but we also set out our Christmas gifts for Gran and Grandad and their gifts to us.
Ian and Henry were a little surprised to see this when they came home!

... and we loved seeing Gran and Grandad open their gifts from us, too!
The boys proclaimed this the best day ever and Henry said he will never forget it. Sweet words from two boys that were extremely appreciative of some really fun and thoughtful gifts. It is nice (and not easy!) to get to this point where they spontaneously express their gratitude.
It's hard to believe that they'll turn 5 in just two months but we really see how much they've matured this last year on days like these.
Henry's Fijit robot was a HUGE hit with all of us. If this doesn't become the hottest toy of the year, I'll be shocked.
I love this picture of Gran opening her necklace from us. She loved it.
I'm sure Gran and Grandad had to adjust to sitting in chairs again at home- they spend so much time on the floor when they're here!
Thanks for our wonderful gifts, Gran and Grandad, we think of you every time we're playing with them!

Love the picture of the boys seeing the surpise for the first time. Henry is looking at the trees and Ian is looking at the presents! Priceless! Merry Christmas - Nolte/Farthings!
