Grandma & Grandpa Visit

Photobucket

Ian was so excited to take Grandpa to the visitor's center in Lawrence because it's right next to a train track and more often than not a freight train or two will go by. We saw 3 on Saturday!

We celebrated Daddy's birthday on the 17th. I should say "Dad," because that's what the boys usually call him now.  You don't hear 'Mommy' and 'Daddy' for very many years. Sniff, sniff.

The boys like to play the "Raise your hand if. _______" game and list all sorts of things such as "if you like spaghetti, if your favorite color is blue, if you have brown eyes..." If Dad hasn't had a chance to raise his hand for a while Ian will always say "Raise your hand if you're 37!" Talk about throwing someone a bone, it's so sweet. Now he'll need to remember to say '38!'

The Tinker Toys Henry got for his birthday gift were a hit with everyone. Building has been a favorite activity for Henry for a while but Ian's interest has increased recently and it is impressive when they both really get going.

Grandma was sweet to head to the garage and woodwork with Ian because Grandpa and Dad were pretty busy this trip. (Please note all those skid marks on the garage floor. Ian delights in making skid marks on his bike.)

Grandma worked hard keeping the her grandsons entertained and I was able to get a lot of work done. Thank you, Grandma!

We had a great time, and I was pleased to know that the boys are not slaves. I was sure you were making them do ALL the work.

Looks like a great trip with Grandma and Grandpa. We're keeping Grandpa Farthing in our thoughts while he's having his health issues.

These boys are so blessed with wonderful parents, and then a double bonus with the perfect Grandparents from both sides! Yaya Kelley
